Why send analytics to Telegram?

Dashboards are easy to ignore. A short daily Telegram message makes traffic changes visible without asking the team to open GA4.

This is especially useful for indie products, docs sites, launch pages, SaaS marketing sites, and small teams monitoring multiple properties.

What the message should include

  • Users, sessions, and views.
  • Top countries and traffic sources.
  • Top pages by views.
  • Product-specific custom events.
  • A note that GA4 data may lag and the report uses yesterday's completed data.

Delivery options

Send the message to yourself while testing. Move it to a private Telegram group when the report is stable. For a team channel, add the bot as a member with permission to send messages.

Setup path

  1. Create the Telegram bot with BotFather.
  2. Send one message to the bot or add it to the target group.
  3. Get the chat ID through the Telegram Bot API.
